They WERE acting that way:

"This happens on big games, so we were prepared for it," Howson said.

This is my favorite part of the story:

The 24-7 victory kept the Buckeyes (2-0) in perfect position for a run to a college football national title. Texas, which saw its 21-game winning streak snapped, is the defending national champion.

To the poster who wrote "they were acting that way", if you're proud about how Ohio State fans celebrate victories then you should be embarrassed as well.

Acting like you've been there before means celebrating with class. Burning cars, hurting police officers, etc., that's real class. Doesn't surprise me though.

"They WERE acting that way" does not state that I am proud at all of idiotic fans and/or players. I mean it is not a shocker, that's all. Quite sad actually...

Speaking of sad... let's blast the past proudness of UM:

Courtesy of the Canes (AKA Thug U.):
If your ho only know
that she was getting [expletive] on the 7th floo’
If that [expletive] only knew
that she was getting [expletive?] by the whole damn crew

She thought 5-2 was just my number, then she realized
You multiply [expletive], then you get my [expletive] size
First I put it in [expletive], then in [expletive]
That’s all [unintelligible]

Just for the record, as a lifelong fan, and someone who was in Austin for the game Saturday night, I am embarrassed by the STUDENTS behavior in Columbus after the game. I've been in Columbus after big wins when the same thing has happened. It is dispicable behavior. While the scummy element among the students and neredowells who toss salads in dive pizza joints in that neighborhood are committing the crimes, I blame the administration, police and our society for the proliferation of the ill behavior. The riots continue for one reason, because the administration, the police, the city government and we as a society continue to allow it to go on. No one is punished. No one is expelled from school. Start tossing these kids out of school, start putting them in jail, or better yet, start by shooting one or two of them while they are rioting, AND THE PROBLEM WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. But we don't do that. We are too tolerant. So, until the OSU president's Mercedes gets burned or a Dean's son or daughter get's killed in a rioting stampede, there will be no action and the riots will continue. It's very sad.
