College World Series and Other Misc Items

Well, well, well, my freakitos, here I am FINALLY making a new post on my blog. It's been awhile and I do apologize for that. I'm not making any excuses but it's been a busy 5 months for me work-wise and that's why the blog has suffered. No excuse though.

Anyway, I wanted to talk about the college world series that starts this weekend. My beloved Hurricanes are the top national seed and will start out playing Georgia Saturday night! Now, I'm a little concerned because there are so many expectations for the Canes that I have a bad feeling about this. They should beat Georgia easily but...... GO CANES!

I also wanted to touch on the NBA finals because an anonymous poster gave me shit about not writing about it and here is what I have to say: I don't give a DAMN about the NBA finals!

Off topic: What about Big Brown? Ugh, horse racing needed a positive outing and the Triple Crown would have been just that but Big Brown had other ideas. No one will ever know, barring health issues, why Big Brown ran the way he did last Saturday in the Belmont but what a disappointment. It literally broke my heart, HOWEVER, not as much as the heartbreak I felt when Eight Belles was euthanized on the track at the Kentucky Derby. I still believe that horse racing needs to be evaluated for the better of the horses and if Kent Desormeaux (I know I misspelled that) felt that he "had no horse" last Saturday, then I'm going to go with that. I would rather that and have the horse lose as he did than have a hurt or dead horse for the sake of a Triple Crown! Maybe next year...

It's only 2 months until the football season and it's gonna drag! And I would feel pleasure in the thought of baseball but let's face it, my professional team is spiralling (I know I misspelled that as well). My hometown Braves cannot win on the road and lately not at home either. I can't talk about it anymore, just as I will probably never see a Triple Crown winner, I will probably never see my Braves win another World Series.

And with that, I will leave you for now. Take care my faithful readers and thanks for stopping by! Ciao.

Make up your mind. After the Derby you said you were never going to watch horse racing again. Now the blurb about watching the Belmont!

Um, did you read what I wrote?

Maybe it's obnoxious "anonymous" posters like these that kept me away from my blog, actually?

Tell 'em Chica!

I've missed you so I'm glad you're back!

Geez! I have had the distinct pleasure of meeting Chica in person and she is a beautiful, intelligent, thoughtful, and insightful person. Cut her some slack!
